Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As I rotate off the Island Community Board after two full terms, I have some thoughts I would like to share with you.
The ICB is the closest thing we have to a government. Its elected Directors represent both the Year-Round and Seasonal populations in a balanced way.
The problems facing the Island in the years ahead are great. They call for major changes in the way things are done. I am confident that those changes will come about, and that Fishers Island will successfully overcome the challenges it faces.
As the ICB pursues its mission, it will benefit from the support of the Fishers Island Fund, a new 501(c)3, which can raise tax-deductible dollars for Island projects.
It has been a pleasure to work for all of you.
