…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM EST WEDNESDAY…
* WHAT…Light freezing rain and freezing drizzle expected. Total ice accumulations around a light glaze.
* WHERE…Northeast Suffolk and Northwest Suffolk Counties.
* WHEN…From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS…Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.
Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
