Southold’s wireless consultant, CityScape, is drafting the zoning for Wireless Services. They have just completed a poll on ideas for addressing the gaps in cell phone service in Southold Town. The poll results will be presented at the Town Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 9, at 1:30 PM. You can attend in person or via Zoom. The Town Board will be reviewing the poll results and directing the consultant on next steps for drafting our new zoning for wireless.

Thank you to all who took the time to review the new plan for improving cell phone/wireless coverage in Southold Town & take the poll to vote on the options for making that happen.
The poll closed on August 13th at 5:00 PM
Southold Town joined with several other East End municipalities to evaluate cell phone service coverage, identify the gaps, and create a strategy to improve service.
The new wireless plan, together with the results of the poll (see below), will be used to create a new zoning code to incentivize the cell carriers to improve our service, whether by new cell towers, small cell technology, or a combination of both.
The poll is designed to promote open engagement from all who have an interest in improving our cell coverage and want to voice their opinion on how it is accomplished.
Your opinion is important and will inform the Town of your concerns regarding wireless infrastructure.
Please take a few minutes to answer the poll. Thank you!
