Would you leave this litter in your driveway or back yard?
All this trash, and more, can be found regularly at the parking lot next to the ferry park.
This is just a small sample of the huge amount of trash some choose to dump out of their vehicles – cups of cigarette butts, food wrappers, packaging, plastic ware, bottles, cans, cups – and now Pea Pod cold packs, not just in the lot, but tossed into the burm with the seagrass.
Please don’t leave litter anywhere –
it just means that someone else will have to pick it up.
Take the trash to the Transfer Station, there are garbage cans on the ferries to use, a dumpster at the New London terminal, or leave the trash in the vehicle and throw it out at work the next day.
Please respect all corners of the Island.
