2026 Budget Vote & Board of Education Election Results

Fishers Island School community, thank you for participating in yesterday’s annual budget vote and Board of Education election on Tuesday, May 20, 2026. A total of 96 ballots were cast.

Fishers Island School Budget Vote: The 2026-27 school budget has been approved by voters, 74–22.

Board of Education: With two seats open, the results are as follows:

  • Beth Cashel — 65 votes
  • Nikole Aiello — 51 votes
  • Rosanna Anderson — 51 votes
  • Krystal Wood — 26 votes

Beth Cashel has been reelected to the Board of Education. Nikole Aiello and Rosanna Anderson tied for the second open seat. In accordance with New York State Education Law, a special run-off election is held within 45 days. The Board Seat tie runoff will be held June 23 from 2:00-8:00 at the FICC. Additional information regarding the voting details will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

Fishers Island Library Budget Vote: The 2026-27 Library budget has been approved by voters, 88-7.
