The island community may thank the student members of the Fishers Island Golf Team, their faculty Members Adam Murray and Adam Baber, and Island resident John Peishoff for their leadership and support in removing burned golf balls from the Middle Farms area surrounding the driving range.
The balls were in the tall grass on the south edge of the driving range which was part of the controlled Middle Farms burn in March of this year.
This community service activity resulted in 18,240 golf balls being removed from this location. A great team effort and good luck to all of them as they continue their 2025 golf season.
