SEVERE WEATHER ALERT
HURRICANE LEE
Please be advised that we are preparing the club for severe weather coming Friday, September 15th into Saturday. While the impact of Hurricane Lee on Fishers Island is still uncertain, it appears it may be passing close enough to cause some impact on our marina and the island.
In addition to the potential storm surge with the NE wind direction, we will also be experiencing higher than usual tidal swings with the new moon. Shore power will likely be turned off at the end of the day Friday through the most severe periods in order to avoid any complications to our electrical system. All boaters should disconnect and store their cords.

We ask all those with vessels in West Harbor to ensure your boats are as secured ASAP. All preparations for the storm should be made by boat owners in advance of the severe weather.
Please ensure that you have chafing gear, fenders, and extra lines in place before the end of the day Friday. Yacht owners are encouraged to spin their boats so that the bow points north/into the wind.
All moored boats should be sure to fasten your stays and rigging securely. Keeping your deck and hull clear to make post storm bilge pumping as quick and easy as possible.
Most importantly, we hope everyone stays safe!
