The Connecticut Blood Center has returned to Fishers for the 4th year in a row in June and August!
The Blood Drives held on June 4 and August 13 were both a success. We donated over 30 pints each drive, which will help over 180 people! A special thank you to all who donated and volunteered at the drives, and to the Village Market and Islanders for Islanders for providing a late lunch for the CT Blood Center staff. They really appreciate it!
Blood donated on Fishers is used to serve the hospitals in Connecticut and Rhode Island that we all rely on – Lawrence & Memorial, Yale New Haven, Hartford Health, Westerly Hospital, and more.
Let’s make the On-Island Blood Drives in 2026 a huge success!
- Everyone who donated in June may donate again in August!
- When you make an appointment, make one with a friend!
- (Individuals may donate blood every 8 weeks.)
How can you contribute?
- Sign up to Donate Blood in the RED button above
- Volunteer to help staff the drive, welcome and direct donors, serve snacks post-donation
- Help to provide lunch for the CT Blood Center staff – this might include providing or preparing part of lunch, setting up lunch, or helping fund lunch
