“Recently, our Agency had our second Cardiac Save. We would like to recognize Paramedic Porfirio “Rod” Rodriguez and Paramedic Trent Wood for this amazing save.” ~ Town of Hancock Volunteer Ambulance*
Thank you to the Town of Hancock Volunteer Ambulance for sharing this! And thank you to Porfirio Rodriguez Jr. for being on Fishers Island, too. He serves here as Fishers Island Fire District’s Manager, as well as Fishers Island Fire Department’s Division Fire Chief, our Island’s paramedic, and FIFD trainer. In addition to his important roles on Fishers Island, Rod is on duty in Hancock, NY, about once a week to keep his skills up due to the low call volume on the Island.
