Sea Stretcher
The Sea Stretcher is Fishers Island’s ambulance boat that takes patients to Lawrence Memorial Hospital in a matter of minutes in the case of a medical emergency. L&M’s ambulance meets the boat in New London for transport to the hospital.

Fishers Island Sea Stretcher is an essential and vital part of the Island’s emergency services and, unlike the Fire Department, it does not receive funding from the Town of Southold and is run solely on donations and volunteers.
