December 2025
Dear Fishers Island Community,
As we approach the close of another calendar year at Fishers Island School, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of our community. Your commitment to our students and your belief in our mission continue to make Fishers Island School not just a learning institution but a place where students can safely cultivate their gifts and talents.
This year, we have so much to be thankful and proud of at Fishers Island School. We are proud of our newly enhanced campus and the facilities that support high-quality learning every day, including our renovated elementary classrooms, modern Library Media Center, expanded collaborative spaces, and strengthened safety and security infrastructure. These improvements reflect our community’s investment in our future and provide students with a safe, inspiring, and innovative place to learn.
Outside the classroom, our students have stepped forward as leaders and teammates. They have participated in athletics, drama, art, music, conservation partnerships, student government, and so much more. Through these opportunities, our children grow into confident, compassionate, prepared young adults.
Looking to the year ahead, our work continues: improving academic programming, expanding college pathways and dual-credit offerings, strengthening the arts, environmental learning, and ensuring every student feels connected, challenged, and supported every day.
We are also preparing to welcome new families into our grades 4–12 tuition program for the 2025–2026 school year. The personalized learning environment and the sense of community we nurture here at Fishers Island continue to make our school a distinctive and affordable choice for families seeking something truly special.
Because of this, I am asking for your help.
If you know families who are exploring educational options for their children, please share our school information and our recruitment letter with them. Personal recommendations from trusted community members have always been our strongest bridge to new families, and your willingness to speak about the school makes a real difference.
Whether through a conversation, a social media post, or simply forwarding our letter, your outreach can bring more incredible students into our classrooms, enriching our culture and strengthening our future.
As always, I am grateful for your partnership. Thank you for believing in our students, supporting our teachers, attending events, and helping make Fishers Island School the special place it is.
On behalf of our students, staff, and Board of Education, I wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and a positive start to the new year.
In your service,
Christian
