The Fishers Island Fire Department welcomes new members all year round. This vital organization of the Fishers Island community is looking for volunteer firefighters and EMTs. All individuals who have their primary residence on Fishers Island are eligible, and those who commute to the Island for work every day may be considered. If you are interested in joining, please contact a member of the Fishers Island Fire Department, including any of these individuals, to obtain more information:

The Department is looking for volunteers of all ages, age 18+!

Life Members are those who have served for over 20 years in the department. 19 of the 39 Life Members are active currently. The Department also has 5 Junior Members, all students at Fishers Island School.
