Fishers Island Ferry Users and Community Members:
Fishers Island Ferry District (FIFD) asks for your participation in a public survey focused on understanding the priorities and needs of Fishers Island Ferry users. The survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete and will be open May 16 through June 5, 2023.
The survey is part of a comprehensive study being conducted by a consulting team engaged by FIFD to inform planning for future vessel replacements. The study will review Fishers Island Ferry vessels, terminals, and operating schedule, and includes:
- Assessment of replacement vessel design options, including operational considerations and capital and operating costs
- Comparison to peer ferry operators and review of best practices
- Review of available ferry funding sources
