Union Chapel Monday Movie Places in the Heart

Join Union Chapel for monthly Movie Nights (generally on the fourth Monday). We’ll look at great films that also tell us about our great God in fresh ways. Participants view the movie on their own (via Amazon prime usually) and then share views during the Zoom discussion.

Please join us for our next Zoom discussion of a great film with great themes illuminating the Christian faith. Monday, February 22 at 7 pm.

Places in the Heart (1984) starring Sally Field, Danny Glover, and John Malkovich

“In central Texas in the 1930s, a widow, with two small children, tries to run her small 40-acre farm with the help of two disparate people.” – IMDB. Not for the faint of heart, this film provides a raw view of a town gripped by racism, and at the same time displays the human ability to triumph over adversity and the present power of the Kingdom of God.

Watch the movie on Amazon Prime at your convenience, then join us on Zoom for an hour or so of discussion. Contact the church to be added to the email list for the zoom link and list for March.

All are welcome!  Just type “Link me” in the subject header of an email sent to fichapel1@gmail.com to receive the link, and be added to the list for future films.
