Support the preservation effort for Race Rock Light

NLMS is raising money to pay for an architectural preservation plan for Race Rock Light. They have chosen restoration architect Walter Sedovic, of Walter Sedovic Architects, for the project. His company did the preservation work on both Block Island, RI, lights (including moving SE Light), and also Faulkners Island Light off Guilford, CT.

The price for the architect’s assessment for Race Rock Lighthouse (+ related costs) totals $11,000. The architect’s report will contain an evaluation of the structure as well as a blueprint and priority list for all restorations going forward. A generous benefactor came forward to jump-start the campaign by donating 50% of the cost: $5,500. Recently a 2nd benefactor, John Steffian, has offered to match future donations dollar-for-dollar until the goal is met.

The current need:
In the hope that work may begin this summer of 2019, please help the NLMS raise the remaining $2,750.00 by donating through their Go Fund Me Page. All gifts are tax deductible.
