Open Air Pipe Organ Recitals at St. John’s
Each Wednesday at 5 PM now through the end of August on the grounds of St. John’s Church. Come listen to 30 minutes of hymns and organ music played through the open windows as you enjoy the church’s beautiful memorial garden. Stay as long as you wish. Free and open to all.
Organist, Daniel Moriarty
“The Italian word for “throwing the windows open” is aggiornemento. That is exactly what we are doing this summer! Each Wednesday, our organist Dan Moriarty will throw the windows open and offer an open air informal organ recital at 5:00 pm. All are welcome to gather in the meditation garden behind the church to enjoy some beautiful organ music.
Please bring your own chair, maintain physical distance, and wear a mask during this weekly organ offering. This is available to anyone on the island as part of the ministry of music hospitality on the W. Richard Bingham Memorial Organ, Bigelow Opus 42. We hope that you can join and enjoy the music. Stay as long as you wish. ALL ARE WELCOME.” ~ Rev. Michael Spencer
