Movie & Theater Event Schedule for Summer 2019

Naive and idealistic Jefferson Smith, leader of the Boy Rangers, is appointed on a lark by the spineless governor of his state. He is reunited with the state’s senior senator–presidential hopeful and childhood hero, Senator Joseph Paine. In Washington, however, Smith discovers many of the shortcomings of the political process as his earnest goal of a national boys’ camp leads to a conflict with the state political boss, Jim Taylor.

*FICC Classic Movie Series – Hosted by David Hoch
The Theater was pleased to have the FICC (Fishers Island Community Center) continue their year-round Classic Movie Series at the Theater this summer! This is an amazing program that the FICC started hosting in 2018. Each classic movie is presented by David Hoch, who taught a college-level film course before retiring from teaching. He gives an introduction and brief history of the film. David knows all the fun and interesting facts about the movies, actors and filmmakers, and makes these films come to life in a new way. FFIT is partnering with FICC to bring this successful program to the Theater this summer.

The Classic Movies will continue on the big screen at the Community Center Thursdays in September thru the winter.
