At the Fishers Island School Board meeting Tuesday, May 14, the Board voted to approve the 2019-2020 School budget which includes a zero increase on the tax levy.

SCHOOL VOTERS GUIDE
$3,745,543, a 1.08 percent increase from the current $3,705,581.
No increase, remains at $3,208,014, the same amount as for the 2018-19 school year. This is within the District’s 2 percent tax-cap limit, so a simple majority vote is required for approval.
TEACHER PAY | PROGRAMS
Includes a contractual increase of 1.5 percent, with teachers who are off-schedule receiving a one-time base salary payment equal to 1.5 percent.

Tuesday, May 21, 2019, between 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. the election on the Budget and BOE will take place in the Fishers Island School gymnasium. All who are registered voters in Fishers Island, NY, Suffolk County, NY are eligible to vote.
Incumbent Linda Mrowka is running unopposed for the position, elected at-large. The term is three years.

- Legal Resident* on or before April 21, 2019
- 18 years old on or by May 21, 2019

- Voter name appears on the Fishers Island Election Roll from the Suffolk County Board of Elections
- A driver’s license with a Fishers Island address
