Chef Brian Busse brings some new twists to the successful Community Center Café. Extended hours, lunch offerings, dinners to-go and his special touch to menu specials will be some of the highlights in this on island dining venue.
Lunch To-Go (or dine in) Monday – Saturday will include two choices of soup, a deli sandwich ‘bar’, salads, pizza slices, and cookies and chips in addition to a choice of a hot dish such as chili, chicken and dumplings, mac and cheese, chicken a la king or hot casserole.
Dinner To-Go is an option Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday with daily specials for a hearty super at home this winter.
Friday Pizzas & Salad To-Go is the perfect way to end a busy week. Pick up on your way off the ferry – or for the ride home.
Café Dining In – Wednesday and Saturday night have become many islanders’ favorite nights out! Come enjoy the newly lighted dining room and the Chef’s dinner menu with weekly specials.

Is cooking a Thanksgiving turkey too much of a fuss? Order your Thanksgiving Dinner and Chef will have it ready for you Thanksgiving morning – with all the fixings – turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, veggies, rolls, and desserts. Order dinner for 2, 4, 6 or more!
Chef Brian can accommodate your catering needs. Plan a private party at the Community Center or have a soirée at home. The Chef will prepare your choice of menu – anything from coffee cake or muffins for weekend houseguests to a full blown affair.
Additional plans for this winter season at the Café include Saturday Afternoon Bowling, a Kid’s Buffet Wednesday and Saturday evenings with a burger bar or the like, and special Saturday Morning Pancake Breakfasts. Brian is also working with Fishers Island School to offer hot lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and a breakfast and snack cart daily at the School.
Brian comes to the Café from the Pequot Inn where he works as head chef in the summer season. Previously he was Executive Chef at Osage National Golf Resort in Lake Ozark, MO. Brian, with his son Brian (a senior at FI School), have been Fishers Island residents for nearly two years, and the Chef looks forward to this new opportunity.
