BD Group Message re: COVID-19

March 22, 2020

Dear BD Clients and Community Members,

For the past few weeks BD has been taking precautions to minimize the spread and possible exposure to the Corvid 19 virus. Now with the Governors mandate which we agree with whole heartedly we will be even further implementing controls and restrictions.

Regrettably, until the Governors mandate is lifted and if we feel that it is safe to return to work we have put all construction projects on hold. This means we will not have any off island employees or subcontractors commuting to island for any of our projects.

However we will do our best to provide emergency services that are critical such as a leaking pipes or the lack of heat in a cold stretch. We will also continue critical deliveries to the grocery store etc. and garbage pickup as long as the transfer station is open.

Our management team that live on and off the island will monitor the day to day operations of our company and respond to any concerns and emergency’s the best we can. Please reach out to your regular contact at BD, Dave or Harland for any reason.

Island Hardware will also be open on a limited basis. We ask that no one enter the store but you can call in an order and set up a pick up time. Your order will be bagged and placed outside for safe pick up.

Our foremost concern is to stop the spread of virus and to protect out extended BD family’s on and off the Island. We will continue to send updates as we have them available.

Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe,

From Everyone at BD
