Announcing Our 2023 Fellowship Recipients

by Jane Ahrens

After a competitive selection process, Lighthouse Works is thrilled to announce its 2023 Fellows. This eclectic group of twenty-five visual artists, poets, novelists, and creative non-fiction writers will join us on Fishers Island in 2023 to participate in the Lighthouse Works Fellowship Program.

The Fellowship Program supports a diverse range of cultural producers working in the vanguard of their creative fields. Fellowships are six weeks in length, occur year-round, and provide fellows with housing, food, studio space, and a stipend.

Each session features an opportunity for artists to share their work with each other and the Fishers Island community through artist talks and at open studios events which will take place throughout the year in parallel with other LW happenings

Please join us for the (53) Welcome and Artist Talks
Saturday, March 11 from 1-2:30 pm at the Annex!

Clockwise from top: Merik Goma, Kathryn Scanlan, Molly Schaeffer, Abed Elmajid Shalabi, and Nicky Tavares.

Come by the Annex this Saturday to welcome our new fellowship cohort. Fellows will present short talks about their recent work and share plans for their time on Fishers Island. Refreshments will be served.

You may find the Fellows’ Bios here: https://lighthouseworks.us/people
