The Fishers Island School Board of Education will receive sealed bids at Fishers Island School 78 Greenwood Road, PO Box 600 Fishers Island NY 06390 by End of Business Monday, March 13, 2023. Each bidder must provide 1 Original and 2 copies of the Bid Documents.
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the Fishers Island Ferry’s New London Terminal, 2nd Floor Conference Room, at 5 Waterfront Park, New London, CT 06320.
Bids received for the Fishers Island School will include the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, services and equipment necessary to complete the projects titled “Fishers Island School Renovation” NYSED Project Numbers: 58-10-04-02-7-007-002/58-10-04-02-0-001-008 for the Fishers Island Board of Education.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for 100% Performance and Payment Bond and Bonds, in the forms included in the Specifications.
Proposed forms of Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifications dated November 14, 2021/June 1, 2022 and Addenda as prepared by QA+M Architecture, LLC will be on file and available to contractors at the Advanced Reprographics Planroom Website (https://www.advancedplanroom.com/jobs/public ) by 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023.
A pre-bid walkthrough will be held at 8:00am on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. All interested parties are to meet at the School 78 Greenwood Road, Fishers Island NY 06390. The meeting is recommended, however, a site visit coordinated and documented through the School Administration is MANDATORY at some point before March 6th.
A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five thousand dollars shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to: The Fishers Island Board of Education and shall be properly executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties. All bonds must be from sureties listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570.
This project requires compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity provisions of Executive Order 11246; Non-Discrimination Provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Prevailing Wage determinations as issued by the New York Department of Labor; and other provisions outlined in the bid documents.
Bids, to receive consideration, must be in the hands of the authorized representative no later than the day and hour mentioned above. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of Ninety (90) days after the opening of bids, without the consent of the above Authority.
The Fishers Island Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any informality, or; to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of Fishers Island Board of Education.
