Senior Lunch 2022

12:00 Thursday, December 15
@ Union Chapel

Enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal, monthly door prize/raffle, seasonal table settings, and interesting conversation. The Senior Luncheons are held on the third Thursday of the month from October through May – most are held at the Union Chapel unless otherwise noted.

And, what is a senior at the Senior Lunch? Anyone age 60+

Please RSVP to Heather Burnham, or call.

We are back!  The first Senior Lunch of the 2022-2023 winter was held Thursday, 11/17 at the Union Chapel.  It included a new talk by Pierce Rafferty, “The Wreck of the Steamer Atlantic on Fishers Island, November 1846: The disaster that transfixed a nation” that was very interesting!

We will be serving lunch in person at noon. And as always, if you need a vegetarian option, please let us know ahead of time as well.
We need your RSVPs by Sunday, December 11 so we can get a head count to the cooks by Monday morning.  If there is someone else on island we should be including on this list please let us know.  All islanders over 60 are welcome.

Hopefully, this puts us back on track to continue our meals on the 3rd Thursday of every month. The Union Chapel is finishing up some renovation work and there may be a month over the winter when we are displaced and have to move to an alternate location, but we can figure that out as we get closer.

The Senior Lunch Committee is always looking for volunteer chefs and entertainment ideas. Island organizations are invited to host. Guest speakers are most welcome. Let us know if you want to get involved for next season. To volunteer to cater the meal one month, help serve, or ask questions, just call or email Heather Burnham at (860) 617-3264 or
