 ICB Board

The first time we came to Fishers Island was in the early 70s, as guests of close family friends. We were quickly charmed and bought our first home here in 1977.

Though we were “seasonal residents” at that time—living and working in New York City—we came to Fishers every weekend we could, from April through November, and, of course, summer vacations. In 2005, we purchased our present home, built in the late 1800s as a “year-round” house, and began spending even more time on the Island.

After a great career in book and magazine publishing, I worked in the Fishers Island School for ten years. I serve on the Parish Council of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and am also on the Board of the Fishers Island Library. As our family has grown and scattered, Fishers has become our family gathering place. We all have a vested interest in the Island and its well-being.

My involvement with ICB has enriched my knowledge of Island history, expanded my familiarity with other Island organizations, and helped focus attention on hopes and concerns for the Island’s future.

A Fishers Island Community Center Program and the accompanying Fog Horn eNewsletter serve as the communications resource for the Fishers Island community. The content – news, calendar, links and photos, milestones, ads, and more create a clear image of Fishers to those on and off the island.
