Summer COVID Protocols recommended by IHP

May 28, 2022

Due to the rise in COVID cases throughout the country and locally, we strongly recommend strict adherence to CDC exposure protocols which can be accessed HERE.  We also recommend contacting close contacts should you develop symptoms or test positive and refer them to the above-referenced protocols.

It is our opinion that indoor unmasked congregation carries a high risk of exposure and that precaution should be taken (masks worn) when in public indoor spaces especially for those incompletely vaccinated or at high risk for severe disease.

Although oral antiviral medication is available by prescription for patients at high risk for severe disease, there are many contraindications to the drug’s use limiting those for whom it would be appropriate. Please call the IHP office at 631-788-7244 for specific inquiries.
