Fishers Island School 2021-2022 Budget & BOE Election Results

On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, 67 qualified voters of the Fishers Island Union Free School District voted on the budget proposition for the 2021-2022 fiscal year and the election of two (2) members to serve on the Board of Education as well as the authorization of the tax levy for the Fishers Island Library budget.

PROPOSITION #1

Adopted the following resolution, 52 in favor, 14 against, 1 blank:

The Board of Education of the Fishers Island Union Free School District #4, Fishers Island, New York, be and is authorized to expend the sum of $3,746,392 for the school year 2021-2022 set forth in the estimate of General Fund appropriations and hereby is authorized to levy the necessary tax, therefore.

PROPOSITION #2

Adopted the following resolution, 63 in favor, 4 against:

The Board of Education of the Fishers Island Union Free School District #4, Fishers Island, New York, be and is authorized to collect on behalf of the Fishers Island Library Association $51,000 for use of and by the Fishers Island Library Association, and hereby authorized to levy the necessary tax, therefore.

Elect two members of the Board of Education, to serve three-year terms (July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024). (William Bloethe was the only official candidate with all others proposed as write-ins.) Vote results are as follows:
