Continued thanks to all those individuals who worked to have the POD at Fishers Island become a reality and to all who participated.
Having received your 2nd dose, you will be considered “fully vaccinated” 2 weeks later, in the case of Fishers POD, on April 11. Please continue to wear a mask, social distance, and wash your hands often. The light at the end of this tunnel is getting brighter.
A reminder from IHP to all vaccinated people, no matter where you received it:
- Please take a snapshot or scan and copy your CDC vaccination card
- Place the original in a safe place
- Send a copy to your primary health care provider, and/or to IHP so they may enter the vaccine into your medical record. At IHP, please email a copy to dianna.shillo@LMHosp.org or leave a copy at the office.
New York State has a new Vaccine Passport app – Excelsior Pass – click here to learn more Excelsior Pass provides a free, fast and secure way to present digital proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results.
The Fishers Island POD is now in the Excelsior APP. Best to open the link above on your phone or tablet rather than a desktop or laptop. (It goes into your Apple Wallet better from the phone if you are an Apple customer. Assuming that is also the case for android.)
You can print it out, take a screenshot, save the photo and also add it to your wallet.
When you are done, you will notice the pass has a 6-month expiration date – a policy by NYS, however, anyone can pull down another pass after their current one expires.
FI residents who got vaccinated in CT – Connecticut and other states are working on C-19 Vac passes, so if you were vaccinated in a state other than NY, at this point you will need to wait for that app.
The following information was handed out to you on February 28 and March 28. Please review any of it that might be helpful or assist in answering your questions regarding the vaccine you are receiving.
Emergency use authorization (EUA) of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to prevent CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) in individuals 18 years of age and older.
