Donald Francis Brown died peacefully at home on April 30, 2019, at the age of 58 in Fishers Island, New York.
Don was born on January 26, 1961, in New London, Connecticut and was a long time resident of Waterford, Connecticut, and Fishers Island, New York. After graduating from Waterford High School, in Waterford, Connecticut, he held many titles. Cook, an employee at Fishers Island Waste Management, HBH Contracting, and then retiree from Fishers Island Ferry District.
Don enjoyed volunteering his time at The American Legion Post 1045 for many years and for numerous events.
He is survived by his former wife Allison Faith Brown of Fishers Island, NY, his brother William Silva and wife Patricia of Waterford, CT, his cousin Bruce Hubert of Fishers Island, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by parents, Francis and Frances Brown along with several sisters.
Don enjoyed cooking for an army! For all that knew him, the kitchen was his true love. He also enjoyed vacationing, spending time with his beloved dogs, Lilah Jean and M.I.A. Rose and just being around family and friends.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
