Having tried to schedule this visit but hampered by rainy Saturday mornings, one after another, the drill finally happened on Saturday, August 25, 2018.

SkyHealth’s coordinator Don MacMillan, with Pilot Mike Conti, Flight Nurse Margaret Healy, and Flight Paramedic Amen Alhaidi descended on the Fishers Island softball field – one of four emergency landing locations on the island.

Chief Hubert reported, “All essential EMS and Fire personnel, including our officers, were given notice Saturday morning about the arrival of SkyHealth – the same notice we received a short time before the landing. I staged this as a surprise drill to simulate what an emergency would be like. We had a good turn out and the drill went well.”
