Anna Throne-Holst, Candidate, New York’s 1st Congressional District

August 2016
Dear Fishers Islanders,

According to Roll Call, Fishers Island’s representative, Lee Zeldin (R), District-01 (NY), is the seventh most vulnerable House Republican in the entire country. He is an enthusiastic supporter of Donald Trump, and one of his closest allies in Congress. In addition, he is a climate change denier who consistently votes to restrict women’s access to reproductive health care.

His challenger this November is Anna Throne-Holst (D), who has served in elected office in Southampton Town for the last eight years, including Town Supervisor from 2010 to 2015. She is a DCCC “Red to Blue” candidate who has been endorsed by EMILY’s List. This election is a fiercely contested race where we can individually and collectively make a difference.

Anna Throne-Holst is coming to Fishers Island to meet Island voters and to raise money for her campaign. Whether or not you are registered to vote on Fishers Island, please support our efforts to “flip” this important seat and bring back pragmatic, common sense representation to our District.
