When did you first arrive on Island/how did you get here?
I married Ellen McCance in 1964. She is a great granddaughter of Rev. Henry Ferguson so her family enjoys a long connection to Fishers.
What are your favorite things to do on Fishers?
Observe the changing tides and the enjoyment of island sunsets and sunrises.
What does Fishers mean to you?
In retirement, Fishers Island offers me peace and quiet with occasional entertaining distractions.
About your organizations:
Fishers Island Ferry is our lifeline to the mainland and our goal is for the service to be safe and dependable.I enjoy meeting the artists brought to the Island by The Lighthouse Works as they often remind me or reveal to me aspects of the Island I might not have noticed for myself.
My favorite cause is the Community Scholarship Fund as I think it is just as important for FI youngsters to get out and see the world as it is to make it attractive for them to come home to live.
