When did you first arrive on Island?
Tail end of March 2013.
What are your favorite things to do on Fishers?
Going to Chocomount reigns supreme in the summer! Walks along South Beach with the dog and our kids is great just about any day too. I love looking for sea glass, shells, watching the waves curl in, and finding the jackpot haven of golf balls there isn’t bad either!
The Museum is fun and very interesting. To look at the vast array of wildlife that’s lived here over time and learn the history behind the island is fascinating. Quiet walks just about anywhere on the island. Trips to Toppers and the Beach Plum are also fun!
What are your roles on Fishers Island?
I am the former Culinary Director at the Island Community Center and continue to give cooking demonstrations there. I also do a lot of catering year-round. My most important job here is mothering my large brood and being a supportive wife to my husband Jared.
What does Fishers mean to you?
Safety, quiet, beauty, Community and friendships. A little piece of paradise on earth. Who could ask for more?
