Ann ‘Cookie’ Edwards

When did you first arrive on Island?
My parents, William and Rose Arasimowicz, came to the island to work and met here.  My husband Ken and I were both born here and are alums of the Fishers Island School.  We raised our six children on the island.

What are your favorite things to do on Fishers?

I particularly enjoy reading, knitting, cooking, needlepoint, bird watching and gardening.  We always love spending time with our grandchildren, those that live near and far.

What does Fishers mean to you?
Everything.  Fishers is truly our home.  We raised our children on the island and some are full-time island residents, as we are.  We continue to enjoy being involved – volunteering wherever and whenever we are needed.

A Fishers Island Community Center Program

FishersIsland.net and the accompanying Fog Horn eNewsletter serve as the communications resource for the Fishers Island community. The content – news, calendar, links and photos, milestones, ads, and more create a clear image of Fishers to those on and off the island.
