Susie Parsons

Board President: Island Health Project (IHP)

The IHP’s main mission is to raise funds to provide the island with a doctor year round. Learn more at islandhealthproject.com.

When did you first arrive on Island?
I was first introduced to the island in 1971 – and have been coming continually since we were married in 1973.

What are your favorite things to do on Fishers?
Gardening, golfing, spending time with our children and grand children, walking, and visiting the beaches.

Fishers means…Family and the beauty of the island. The Parsons family is big and we all gather on the island year round including Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our children would rather be on Fishers Island than anywhere else. Our friends and cousins are very important to all of us. Fishers is such a serene and happy place to be. We just love being here, anytime of the year.

A Fishers Island Community Center Program

FishersIsland.net and the accompanying Fog Horn eNewsletter serve as the communications resource for the Fishers Island community. The content – news, calendar, links and photos, milestones, ads, and more create a clear image of Fishers to those on and off the island.
