IN MEMORIAM: Margaret ‘Peggy’ Salvage Taliaferro

Margaret ‘Peggy’ Salvage Taliaferro of Jupiter Island, FL died peacefully surrounded by family on October 2, 2010. She was the daughter of Sir Samuel and Lady Salvage and the widow of C. Champe Taliaferro. She is survived by four children, Phyllis Wells, James Polk, Charles Taliaferro, and Barclay Marcell, two step-sons James Taliaferro and Robin Taliaferro, a sister Magdelaine Anthony, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was the author of four books for children: The Real Reason for Christmas, Do You Ever have Questions Like These?, In the Beginning, and Easter Happiness and You, and a biography of her husband, A Reckless Grace, An Account of Pilots and their Planes from the Jennys to the Jets.

She taught Sunday School at Christ Memorial Chapel and she also taught at the Hobe Sound Child Care Center. A service will be held at Christ memorial Chapel on Jupiter Island on December 11, 2010.
