He spent his childhood in Honolulu, HI and Fishers Island, NY. During his adult life he lived in Windsor, CT and summered at Fishers Island, NY before retiring to Clearwater, FL.

He married Leslie-Hart Fenn, the love of his life, in 1953 and they raised their two sons in North Haven, Connecticut before retiring to Salisbury in 1982.

Proudly served in the Pacific during WW II as a Marine Major aviator.

Founded in 1927, there are approximately 50 active volunteers.

Phalaenopis orchids grow in the jungle and are known as “mid-canopy epiphytes”.
