FI School Election Results

Tuesday, 44 Island residents cast their vote on 2 propositions and elected 2 members to the Board of Education.  Incumbent William Bloethe ran unopposed and 1 resident cast their first ever vote at the election booth.

Results of Fishers Island School Election May 15, 2018

Proposition #1: “RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Fishers Island Union Free School District #4, Fishers Island. NY, be and is authorized to expend the sum of $3,705,581 for the school year 2018-2019 set forth in the estimate of General Fund appropriations, and hereby is authorized to levy the necessary tax therefore.”

In Favor of Proposition #1: 39
Against Proposition #1: 5

Proposition #2: “RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Fishers Island Union Free School District #4, Fishers Island. NY, be and is authorized to collect on behalf of the Fishers Island Library Association $51,000.00 for the use of and by the Fishers Island Library Association, and hereby is authorized to levy the necessary tax therefore.”

For Members of the Board of Education: “For Members of the Board of Education for two [seats] three-year term [each] July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.” Total ballots cast for:
